Mission Beach is one of San Diego's most popular beach areas.  This famous 2 mile resort peninsula boasts the Pacific Ocean on one side and beautiful Mission Bay on the other.  A boardwalk parallels the entire beach on both the ocean and bay side of the peninsula, providing the ideal opportunity for biking, jogging, walking, skateboarding or rollerblading.

Other beach activities include  sunbathing, swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, boating and people watching right from your living room window.  Belmont Park with its historic roller coaster is just a 5 minute walk away.  Belmont Park is filled with rides and activities for the kids.

2 beach cruisers, 3 boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas are provided.  Within walking distance are rentals for skateboards, roller blades, boats, canoes, wave runners, bicycles, surf boards, wet suits, etc.   

San Diego has many attractions including Sea World which is just 5 minutes away. Sport fishing, Whale watching cruises, Harbor cruises, Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, SeaPort Village, La Jolla, Scripps Aquarium, Del Mar Race Track, Golf courses, Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, Museums, and Mexico, are all within a 10 to35 minute drive.

The average annual temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius),
and the typical day is sunny and mild with low humidity - always just another beautiful day
in San Diego.

What to Wear
You'll rarely need a topcoat or raincoat in San Diego. However, evenings are almost always cool, even in summer, so be sure to bring a sweater. Days are warm, even in winter, so always have shorts and swimwear handy.
